Who We Are.
Background.
Led by Executive Director, Juma Masisi, WOMEDA is comprised of a group of highly dedicated staff members, legal scholars, and volunteers from all over the world. Since our creation we have helped thousands of women protect themselves from vulnerable and often times abusive situations.
The women we assist come from all over the region and are fleeing some of the worst gender-based abuses imaginable. Click here to read just one story of the many women that we have represented.
Our Successes.
Community: WOMEDA has established community contribution systems to support marginalized women and children in dozens of villages throughout northwestern Tanzania.
Training: WOMEDA has successfully trained more than 400 men and women in human rights and good governance.
Assistance: WOMEDA has served thousands of men, women, and children spanning over 240km.
